Building Materials Directive (CPD) and Building Materials Regulation (CPR)

Building Materials Directive (CPD) and Building Materials Regulation (CPR)

Many regulations have been made regarding the free movement of goods within the European Union. Following the customs union, some of the directives started to be implemented in our country within the framework of compliance with the technical legislation. One of the most important of these is the "Construction Materials Directive (CPD)".
The Construction Materials Directive (CPD), published on 21 December 1988, was replaced by the Construction Materials Regulation (CPR) on 4 April 2011 and was enacted as a law in European Union countries on 1 July 2013.
The purpose of the Building Materials Regulation (CPR) is to increase quality awareness, prevent unfair competition and prevent the circulation of low-quality goods in European Union countries in order to reduce the loss of life and property in all construction works.
