CPR Classification in Cables

Summaries by General Use of Classes Isek;

It is concluded that Aca class cables are limited to the temperature that will occur as a result of combustion,
BB2ca, Cca and Dca classes have various classes of cables that reduce the fire risks (in terms of heat dissemination, flame dissemination rate, smoke density, drip feature during combustion and corrosive gas formation),
Eca sınıfına giren kabloların sadece, kablodaki alev yürümesine göre sınıflandırıldığı,
in Eca class are classified only according to flame walking in the cable, and no fire performance is sought in Fca class cables.

classification
Issues requested by standards
Aca Class EN ISO 1716 According to EN ISO 1716 standard, PCS should be ≤ 2 MJ/kg as a result of combustion, except for metals in the cable.
Class B1ca: 1. EN 60332-1-2
2. EN 50399
1. According to EN 60332-1-2 standard, after the test flame has been extinguished, the flame shall not have spread to 425 mm distance. 2. 30 kW flame source according to EN 50399 standard: FS ≤ 1.75 m THR1200S ≤ 10 MJ Peak HRR ≤ 20 kW FIGRA ≤ 120 Ws-1.
Class B2ca: 1. EN 60332-1-2
2. EN 50399
1. According to EN 60332-1-2 standard, after the test flame has been extinguished, the flame shall not have spread to 425 mm distance. 2. 30 kW flame source according to EN 50399 standard: FS ≤ 1.75 m THR1200S ≤ 15 MJ Peak HRR ≤ 30 kW FIGRA ≤ 150 Ws-1.
Dca Class: 1. EN 60332-1-2
2. EN 50399
1. According to EN 60332-1-2 standard, after the test flame has been extinguished, the flame shall not have spread to 425 mm distance. 2. 20.5 kW flame source according to EN 50399 standard: THR1200S ≤ 20 MJ Peak HRR ≤ 20 kW FIGRA ≤ 1300 Ws-1.
Eca Class: EN 60332-1-2 According to EN 60332-1-2 standard, after the test flame has been extinguished, the flame shall not have spread to 425 mm distance.
Fca Class: EN 60332-1-2 Cables that do not have any fire performance value or do not exceed the EN 60332-1-2 standard flame spread test. It is concluded that no fire performance is sought in Fca class cables.
Measured Parameters FS (Flame Spread): Heat Release Rate (HRR): Heat release rate THR (Total Heat Release): Total exposed heat SPR (Smoke Production Rate): Smoke generation rate TSP (Total Smoke Production): Total smoke generation FIGRA (Fire Growth Rate Index): Fire growth rate index Flaming Droplets: Particles broken from the burning sample
