TESTS APPLIED IN SCOPE OF CPR

TESTS APPLIED UNDER CPR

TS EN 50575 for the evaluation of cables within the scope of Cpr,
requirements for the classification of fire response in cables and related tests and criteria for CE conformity marking and conformity assessments
TS EN 13501-6, Classification using data obtained from fire response tests,
TS EN ISO 1716, Determination of gross combustion temperature (Class A)
TS EN 50399, Common test methods for cables under fire conditions (Class B1, B2, C and D)
TS EN 61034-2, Smoke density (Additional classification s1a and s1b)
TS EN 60332-1-2, Vertical Flame Spread for single cables (Class B1, B2, C, D and E)
TS EN 60754-2, pH and conductivity test (Additional classification a1, a2 and a3)
TS 50576, Extended applications of test results

Test subject to above standards must be applied. HES Cable Fire Test Laboratory is accredited from all of these tests except TS EN ISO 1716, Determination of gross combustion temperature (Class A).

TS EN 50399 - COMMON TEST METHODS FOR CABLES UNDER FIRE CONDITIONS

TS EN 50399 test equipment is used to measure the combustion response of cables mounted on the ladder in the vertical plane.
In addition to the equipment in TS EN 60332-3-10 standard, the test system also allows measurements of the amount of heat released during the test, smoke production, oxygen consumption and CO2 production.
Thanks to this test, while recording the data generated from the first flame of the cable, the effect of the flame on the cable is determined, the effect of the flame on the surroundings of the fire is determined thanks to the heat release measurement and the effect of the smoke on the sight of the fire is determined thanks to the smoke production measurement.
Measured parameters;
FS (Flame Spread): Heat Release
Rate (HRR): Heat release rate
THR (Total Heat Release): Total exposed heat
SPR (Smoke Production Rate): Smoke generation rate
TSP (Total Smoke Production): Total smoke generation
FIGRA (Fire Growth Rate Index): Fire growth rate index
Flaming Droplets: Particles broken from the burning sample

TS EN 61034-2 - SMOKE DENSITY

TS EN 61304-2 test equipment is used to measure the smoke density of the burned cables in a special room.

TTS EN 60332-1-2 - Vertical Flame Spread for single cables

According to TS EN 60332-1-2 standard, it is carried out in order to gain an idea about flame transmission by burning single-core cables in the cabinet and to detect flame spread.

TS EN 60754-2-pH and Conductivity Test

Determination of potential corrosivity by measuring the degree of acidity (pH) and conductivity of the gases released during combustion of materials taken from electrical or optical cables according to TS EN 60754-2 standard
